ello one and all.

google brought me here and here took me to NUMS....a handy find on both counts methinks. those clear bikes are the mutts nuts!
already read a fair bit of the board over the past week and you seem honest, friendly nutters, so thought it about time i gave a greets to you all :D

been interested in good magic effects for years, but only recently became able to do those things that now "just happen around me".
to amuse myself as much as anyone tbh.

im 31, SH (probably.....the boss nearly wet himself when i turned a red pack of bikes blue under his very nose today, does that count? lol, "waddya mean its not a trick deck?") and a little north of london.

used to forums and the like and even have run a couple in the past.....put it this way, i know you mods are on a mission to keep it free flowing yet troll free, so i'll keep off your toes but can help ya keep an eye out if the need arises. ;)
the no reveal policy seems reassuring, please lemme know if im putting my foot in it.

its good to find a place where i can get a good, objective view on a trick before i invest/waste (delete as appropriate) yet more hard earned cash on another great/poo effect.
may even add my own if i pick up a gem or even a stinker to avoid. dont panic, i know where this is.

my favorite kinds of effects are the ones where you can see it "really" happen right up close whether watching or performing a trick. borrowed item stuff can be hard to beat when done well imo. good colour changes crack me up!
was chuffed to bits to see a good review on black and white surprise....good patter gets eyes bulging on those li'l fellas. you could almost do that ON their nose let alone under it.
its mainly card stuff that i do, but have a couple of other effects....well, not quite up my sleeve because theres nothing there, but you get the picture

in short.....
not a mentalist, just mentalish

Welcome magicmonkey, it is good to have you on board. A very nice introduction indeed. I don't think you will have any problems here, as you definitely have the right attitude!

just realised we get two for one here, magical discussion AND a CUPS support group. i've been a long time sufferer and it didn't even dawn on me ;)
I guess thats the first step, admitting it to yourself
with your help i may be able to curb this terrible affliction....let me just see if davenports have strange travellers in yet though....
