David I recommend you to check out a guy over here called Jonathan Goodwin (www.jonathangoodwin.co.uk) he's a escapologist who has done stuff like escaping from a coffin buried under 5 tonnes of cement and managed to escape from a boiler suit stapled to a door with the other side of it on fire. He's also the guy who almost hung himself on tv when he dropped the lock pick to release himself from the handcuffs before he was shot up in the air. Not all of his escapes work which is entertaining to watch and sometimes very funny

my second attempt, i will post my first one later.

this one was hard as heck. i was actually getting worried at parts.
it was a party for me graduating, my cousin graduating, and a friend graduating. they tied me up after one round of beer pond. thus the camera movement and the slowness of the video. but it was fun and a great challenge.

its 32 inches by 24 inches
some updated pics. not 100% complete.

all I need to do is:

-silicone it up, to make it water tight.
-put two hooks on the inside for the neck collar
-two holes on top for my hands

and then I am done, and I will do all that later tonight.

its a special sweat box, fully examinable, can be used for hidden or full view escapes. I will e using this one for a special escape that I have designed and created. which will stay secret until performed later this year.

I am in the process of producing an educational escape dvd. I want to hear what people want to learn. I already have a list of things to put in the dvd, but I wont post it for now. I just want to hear what you all want to see on a dvd or dvd series.
what would you like to see. what would make you want to buy it?
and be serious. 8)

thanks

I still remember my first trick with escapology...
I would get someone to tie my hands with a rope to my body and then cuff them with metal hand cuffs, then someone would have raised a cloth in front of me and in about 3 secs or less I was out^^
Still have them old cuffs, used them only once since when I performed sub-trunk with my ex-girlfriend in high school for a talent show (that was so cool making a sub-trunk out of plywood and an old blanket cover as a bag, all cost about 30$ and worked great^^).

I still do a small bit in my kid's show that involves getting my hands tied with a rope and then swiftly take my hands out like nothing happened, good starter for my rope magic routine and gets some good laughs.

When I first started to pick locks, (just because I was curious) I started with the tine of a fork believe it or not. I too then went to one of those fancy 28 lock pick sets. I now use three or four tools, (only two at a time) two are tension bars, the others are rakes. I hardly ever pick anything the rake's have never failed. A Pick gun (and all the variants) are things of beauty but I kind of like the stealthy feel of a manual pick/rake simply because it is a nice feeling of accomplishment. I should mention that I don't like escapes I tend to stay away from being confined. I just like to see if I can open locks without a key.

David, do you know, what the name is of the thing that is done with chains a padlock and a ring where the chains are attached too, seen this in some stunt. Would like to know who invented it or how it came into being or just in general whats it's name is.
