Paul Harris Cros Twist

Postby shadowmask » May 31st, '06, 06:12

I just recently got this effect from a good friend (not sure where he bought it from atm) and am currently working on it. This trick is somewhat challenging using several slights and requires smoothe and fluid card handling for maximum effect. I would rank this trick at a 3.5/5 due to the nature of the slights and the somewhat complex nature of the handling of the cards. Great close up magic and virtually angle proof makes this trick an ideal close up trick.

(works great when the spectator signs a card which you use)

10/10

Hi, good start to the review but if you have a minute could you discribe the full effect of this trick?
Cheers

Have a look at the review template, it gives a good idea of the kind of details that are handy to have in reviews.

Hey Shadowmask,

The effect that you've actually learnt is Paul Harris's Bizarre Twist, and the Cros Twist is a move that you can use within the context of that (the one handed move).

It is a great trick (a visual "Twisting" style routine for those who haven't seen it, where a single card flips face up dispite being trapped between two others - the sandwiched card goes in horizontally, so that the cards make a cross, and you can actually see when the sandwiched card flips face up).

I've used this for a while actually, one of Paul Harris's classics. You guys can read it (and the one handed Cros move) in Art of Astonishment Volume One.

Liam.
