Hi, not sure if I am posting this in the right place but I was wondering how you upload videos for people to view? I was thinking about putting one on the site but I am not sure if it is up to the standard required but before I can even decide that I thought I would find out how to upload them. If anyone knows I would appreciate a bit of help. Thank you

Alex

they're usually posted on YouTube or Putfile fists and when they have been uploaded to one of those sites you can post the link into TM.

If you're not sure about whether to post or not, take a close and detailed look at your post to see if you can see how the tricks is done. If not then it should be OK to dip your toe in the water but be warned that if it's not up to scratch then people will tell you.

This is actually good as people will most usually give you honest opinion that you can use to improve.

Good luck

Thanks for the advise I will look in to one of the site you talked about.

As for putting a video on hear, we will wait and see. I feel I am possibly not up to the required standard at the moment. Not so much as people will see how it is done but more like my performance might be a bit slow or my hand positions on the cards a little out. I watch peoples videos on hear and can see that although I may be able to do the trick I could possibly not do it as well or as flowing as them.

Rather than post the link to the world, PM the link to a few members who will give you some advice. PM me with the link if you like. Any other volunteers?

You only need two or three.

Thank you Dat. That is a very nice offer and as soon as I figure out how to plug the camera in to the computer I will take you up on the offer.

Off topic slightly... I went shopping to buy a video tape for the video camera and was told it was digital and did not take a tape, how dumb did I feel!!

Happy to take a look too AJ, PM me the link.

Saying that I wouldn't worry about it too much, almost everyone around here will provide constructive comments. Anyone who is less than fair with beginners gets stamped on pretty quick.

Wow thank you all of you. Give me a week to sort out the camera and upload something half decent! I'm thinking of maybe the two card monte, the web or a simple signed card trick and I will PM you.
Thanks again, the support is amazing and very much appreciated.

Probably a short routine...

Cups and balls with the balls changing to sponge balls and multiplying, then vanishing or changing to cards to end with a card trick... probably monte or flushtration maybe the web... not quite sure yet. Trying to get my head round uploading a video at the moment... Me and computers are not the best of friends!!
