You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Well, the only thing I'm good at doing with money is spending it...so you're way ahead of me!

I liked it. I didn't see what you did, and I enjoyed it :)

nice but you need to work on a relaxed hand position when your waving it over "the hand with the coin in" good work though.

Yeah... my coins aint great... but I gotta start somewhere right? :D

I have Bobo's Modern Coin Magic and a few Sankey videos, and whilst thumbing through Bobo I found a sleight and remembered a trick Sankey teaches.
It still needs work, but I'm glad you liked it :D

EckoZero, this vanish strongly depends on good timing and your throw was well done! But loosen up a little bit and I would watch my angles, as you need a bit more of a slant on that right hand. Also for viewing purposes do not take your hand off screen if that is manageable as your misdirection of focus was a little hurt by this as well.

The beauty about coin magic is that it is one of those things that are easy and quiet to practice while you’re on the phone or train or whatever. Keep going at it and I am sure you will do well!

Thank you :D Whenever I have an idle moment, I'm practing that concealment and timing to make it look like a throw etc...

Did my hand looked cramped and tense? Laypeople have yet to pick up on it, but I didn't think it would slip by a magician lol. For more slant, do you mean showing my thumb at the back of my hand more, to avoid people seeing under my hand?

Alas, to keep my hand in shot at all time, I'd have to be standing on the other end of the room, making the fact that there was a coin in my hand almost impossible to see :(

Thanks for the encouragement dude :D
Yeah... I'm always practicing a concealment/sleight of some sort if I'm not playing with my cards lol... hopefully with time I will get better!

Overall this was a good effort and I'm sure that you will improve with more practice and this in turn will help you to relax more as well.

Stick at it

Your hand did not look overly cramped and I wouldn't think an ordinary person would pick it up, but we magician's are far from ordinary ! Try opening you fingers a little bit without exposing anything. I get away with spreading out my first and last finger just a tad which give the illusion that all my finger are open and relaxed. If you keep your hand moving nothing will be seen. You might also have to exercise doing this so you you can accomplish this naturally without risking the spread of your two middle fingers.

Regarding your second question; all I have to say was there was an ever so slight flash; your thumb is fine just rotate your hand a tad more clockwise. PM me if you want more details. The angle I was talking about was regarding your right hand and only in relation to the position of the camera. Normally the view point would be much higher and this wouldn't be a problem unless you were performing for children .

 I understand. But what you might be able to do is take two shots of yourself performing; one close up and one from further away and show them one after the other. This will confirm to the viewer that there is no funny business going on.

I liked it too. The only thing that I would have done differently is the second move under the action of showing my first hand, if that makes any sense lol.

But nice work, keep it up!

Yeah it was good, a few points though  :

Your hand needs to be more relaxed and spread your fingers.

Check out Sankey's way of getting into the TP IMHO it's better/easier than Bobo's, though only slightly different.

You didn't take full advantage of Ramsey subtlety which you could/should have done it makes the reappearence MUCH more powerfull

Cheers,

Ok... I now spread my fingers when I do the disappearance.
I noticed Sankey did it differently, but for me, I found it was quite a lot harder to get that flowing smoothly, and it always looked like I was fiddling. Having been reading Bobo's book, I saw that way and practiced until my fingers (not literally obviously...) fell off.
Although now my hands are becoming more dexterous, I may revisit Sankey's take on it, as it looks more like the way you'd actually throw a coin.

As for the Ramsey subtlety... youre right. I completely forgot about it :D lol

I'll keep practicing and reshoot at some point!
