Wipe Off Signature - Updated

Postby EckoZero » Jun 9th, '06, 23:07

This is the result of a "magic jamming session" between me and Magic Evmeister, as a lot of my videos are...

This is based on a Sankey effect, that neither of us can remember the name of, but we 'renamed' it "Plastered"

So here it is... the Wipe Off Signature!

http://media.putfile.com/Untitled_0006-60

This is the updated version of the same trick.
The handling is done smoother I think, and some of the "key points" have been better covered or moved into at appropriate times.

Hope you enjoy it... the effect is the same, but similar comments on the update would be great thanks :D

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Nice effect and it looked to me as if it was well executed

sorry but the one handed pass was performed extreamly sloppy.
you see you catch the break so badly, and the drop was even worse

There wasn't a one handed pass.
Yes you can see me catch the break, but there's a problem with filming. When you film only your hands, there's no misdirection and people have no choice but to burn you.
And there wasn't a drop as such so how it could have been done badly is beyond me.

Rather than coming in and telling me how badly everything was done, hows about giving me some hints and tips on how to perform it better?

Decent effect. IMO here are some ways you can improve the effect:
1) when you are blowing the card dry, you can do a p**** pull**** and transfer to a thumb *****, this way you dont expose the b**** that much
2) You can simply do the erdnase colour change for the rub

Thank you very much for some pointers mate :D

I think there seems to be a bit of confusion as to how this effect is actually acchieved, as the suggestion of the P**** b**** wouldn't work as I blow the card dry. There's a move after that.

And yeah. I could erdnase, but I tried that once, and I found it just didn't get the same reaction as the version I did here.

I think when you cover a card with your hand completely, as for the erdnase, people assuming you're doing something. Whereas rubbing the deck is a little less suspicious IMO.

Thanks for the pointers though mate :D

Thanks,
