*bump*

Don't let this thread die! I like tea too much to let it die... I just got some more tea yesterday! I friend from Japan sent me some hojicha and genmaicha, as well as a recipe for green tea rice and usage (sp? you-saw-gee) which is eel! I've never had eel, but I'll be willing to try it, he obviously thinks it's good enough to give as a gift

Well, i'll try anything once. But what type of tea is pg tips and the like? because those brands have the types of tastes i like, but maybe i would like something else even more! I also like it very strong, normally 2 tea bags with very little, or no, milk. I also like lemon flavoured tea. What you reckon?

Well being as you said you drink it with no milk I'd assume that you COULD drink it with milk which would mean that it was a black tea, if you like your teas strong I'd recommend an Irish Breakfast tea which is a strong but very flavourful black tea.

Has to be Yorkshire Tea (from Taylor's of Harrogate) for me, ideally Yorkshire Gold. Made with Yorkshire water of course... Don't ever forget the importance of the water in your tea and the difference it can make!

Don't you have soft water in Yorkshire?

To me, a hot drink isn't a hot drink unless you can crunch the last few drops...

Well, yes we do. But they also make a blend for hard water to so don't despair! ;)

Just to stray dangerously 'on topic' for a moment.... I always thought this looked a nice piece of kit. Anybody seen it in the flesh?

Ah, my kettle needs descaling.
Well. technically. But that means I'll only have to spend the next 6 weeks building up suitable limescale deposits to make a crunchy cuppa... so I'll leave the descaling for now

Might try the hard water blend though.
Mmm... genuine crunchy yorkshire tea (Didn't they used to sponsor Heartbeat...?)

Well you should def. try a good quality longjing (aka dragonwell / dragons well) green tea (it makes a differance if it's not high quality... good leaves are almost yellow in colour and have little white hairs on them).

Also bi luo chun green tea which has a very unique flavour, and wuyi oolong tea which is just lovely (imo).
