Magic Clubs / Society - UPDATED

Postby AJ82 » Jun 13th, '06, 18:08

I am off to my local magic club / society for the first time tonight thank to a member on this site (you know who you are  ).

Any ideas of what it will be like or any advise? I am really really nervous and don't want to do / say anything wrong.

Any comments will be most appreciated.

Alex

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

Just relax and be yourself - they aren't looking for superduper performances, just solid interest and respect for magic. Best of luck - you'll be fine!

Stephenmagic - have you thought about the Ipswich Magical Society? It's very friendly

www.ipswichmagicalsociety.co.uk

It can't be much further than Norwich and I know we have members from Norwich (actually I think we may even have a few from Lowestoft - I will have to check the books).

And tomo - are you sure there isn't one in your area? check out

Exactly my sentiments. Best thing I ever did since starting magic was to join my local club. My club doesn't ask for an audition but they do have performance evenings. As I posted on here previously I joined in the last one with great trepidation and shaky hands but really enjoyed it when I got going. If you have a local club join, you will come away from each session having learned something.
