Invisible Pass - Tips Needed

Postby grum7n7 » Jun 14th, '06, 00:36

Sorry to post something as simple as an Invisible pass but i need to see what you guys think. I usually use just a pass but I liked the invisible pass because you can be totally burned and i think it would be extremely beneficial in conjunction with some other things.

So criticism and comments are welcomed :D

is this performable yet...i think it is but whats your opinion

thanks guys...

It was nice.
Better than mine, although my pass is only passable *groan*

Can't think of anything negative to say.
Keep up the good work!

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Wow!

That was quite good. Did you learn this from one of the Ninjas?

Thanks,

I learnt mine from Ninja 1 too... the squaring up one?
Yours is MUCH better than mine. Mine takes a big movement of my arms up and then down during the squaring.
Your's wasn't noticeable :D

It's pretty bad place to learn it I thought.
I bought it because it was advertised as teaching the pass.
10 minutes in and after telling us we were all expected to be "advanced" and to know the pass and having gone through 5 minutes of how to do the pass, he then starts talking about the "correct way to hold the cards".

I wasn't amused

Looks like you learnt more from it than I did though.
Good show old chap!

grum7n7,

I watched your video a few times desperately trying to find something wrong with your performance in order to give you some helpful criticism; but I am sorry to say I cannot give you one bit of advice! The timing was brilliant! Your hand movements were minimal and very natural looking! That was a perfect example of how stealthy this sleight can be!

I didn't watch the vid yet ( I have dial up), but Revolutionary Card magic by Jay Sankey has a nice section on the pass. Unfortunately it's $60, so for just the pass, it would be a waste of money. Good stuff on it though.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

Very good indeed. Although when you were doing the movements just before the squaring up bit, there is a slight visibility of the break. But other than that, it's just about perfect. Probably just need to change the angle a little or lessen the tilt.

...yeah i saw that and was thinking and i realised that when this is performed their eyes wont be at level with the cards unless they are sitting and im standing...in which case, like you said, i wouldnt tilt my hands as high...

thanks for the comments so far...
