sorry guys this is justy a little rant but i need to get it of my chest

ok i was board so i rang a friend to go for a cycle so we went into town saw a few other people we knew and had a chat, then we desided to go to somthing called the note fort which is just out of town witch is a grassy area with a few picnic tables. so we go there and start chating to sombody we knew up there. and placed our bikes directly behind us no more than a meter away. then a group of about 15 of kids between the ages of 16-15 walked up the path which leads into the area.
so they sat about 100 yards from us and one of them got up, asumed he was goinm to the toilets near us.

no no no .. insted he decided to take my bike and ride it arond this area with his friend gering him on. as he cut past us a few times at speed he jumped of and let it fly into the picnic table. and some of the plastic chied off my bike.

he then came to appoligise and as i seem to always think the beest of people i accseped his appolgy (begrugingly) but no he only used this as an excuse to steal my other friends bike. which he did exacly the same on.

now im quite a passive person and dont like voilent situations (except a good mosh pit :))

sorry i had to post thi but it has made me feel much better

I'm a magician who's had a bad day too so if you introduce me to these chaps I'll make their teeth disappear...

(not that I'm advocating violence or anything)

unfortunately A55holes are not a new thing, they have been around for years.

You may have been risking a broken spoke or 2, but that definately called for a stick through the wheels. Impromptu levitation, you have the pleasure of seeing the look on his face as he flies over the handle bars of your bike
;)

Yeah, and i bet his friends would be too busy falling about themselves laughing that they wouldnt even think of trying to kick the **** out of you!

Personally, i would try and keep two sticks though, preferably one in the shape of a baseball bat, just incase they dont take it as a laugh!!

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Kids have no respect now (TM members excepted of course )

and teenangers are the worst magic audiences for street entertainment.

- They have no money
- They heckle
- and they make jokes about you.

For a while i thought this was just me either being bad at magic or an easy target. LOL

However, i had people checked this out - I and my moves are fine and i watched a poor covent garden street performer experience exactly the same thing. (and he was good) So was ok.

LOL

Its always very rewarding after being heckled to then have another audience who fall for everything and find you funny and stuff. LOL

Why am i syaing this.
I am a teenanger myself and a kids entertainer.

But I'm obviously a nice one.

I find the best thing to do in these situations is to belittle them - not so as to make them violent, just to put them in their place. Ask them if their mum knows what they're doing, make jokes about facial hair, about hanging around with a load of boys - suggest they need a girlfriend... usually shuts them up.

On the other hand, better safe than sorry - 15 of them is quite a few. I'm only 6 foot but have done rock climbing/jiu jitsu/kayaking over the years and feel fairly sure I could defend myself against a few yobs, but a big pack of them can make them dangerously confident.

That's shocking mate I live opposite a park and I get idiots around my area all the time TBH I sometimes think most of them just need some thing to do.

Whatever, they need disclipne - a good kicking or something ant that's coming from a 16 year old!

Cheers,

oooh i got stories.. geez the other day i was driving home and there were these three teenage boys beating the living junk out of a 4th teenage boy kicking hima nd throwing rocks... i didnt know what to do!i couldnt pull over and help the kid cuase then theyd beat the junk out of me so i honked my horn alot and yelled i was phoning the cops the took off running and the other kid got up and waved at me and got on his bike a rode like mad i followed him a few block till he went into a house i wanted to make sure he was ok :(

as for performing for teens. it can be an issue. i just act like im so much cooler than them i use waht i like to call the "family guy method"
kid- "you suck!"
me- wow! that is such an original comment. your parents must be so proud of you!

not only does this make them feel silly everyone else laughs which reverses exsactly what they were trying to do. they wont be doing it again kill sarcasm with sarcasm

kid- "thats not real fire!! your faking it!"
me- want to make a bet? (smile very nicely so not to sound like a big cow *motion to hand them your torch and take out a lighter* works everytime..
(this also works on childrens fathers)
ive never quite figured out what fake fire looks like.. if anyone knows let me know ok?
