George Sands Leaves Us

Postby mgould » Jun 19th, '06, 20:37

George Sands, the creator of Sandsational Ropes and Ropesational routines just recently passed away. If you have ever seen a cut and restored rope routine some part of George's routine is in there. The likes of David Copperfield and Michael Finney still use George's routine in their act. George published many pamphlets on card magic, rope magic, and 2 books completely dedicated to balloon modeling. George was well recognized by his generation, but like many other great magicians he may be most recognized now after he has left us.

Its always sad when someone in the magical world passes away. Don't really know what to say... never good in moments like this. Thoughts and wishes to his family

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

None of us know how long we have on this planet but it's good that people like George made such an impact while they were here. Sincere condolences to all the family.
