Do you?

Almost 3 years ago a rumour went round that I was, in fact, Hortense Prodworthy, Horsemeat Trader to the Gentry, of Acacia Avenue, Chipping Sodbury. Of course this isn’t true and I almost wish I hadn’t started the rumour now :D .

Denial! That's a good attempt Mandrake but you can't shake off those stories that easy
!

I agree with you Flash, I think there should be more ranks after 500! I admit that I quite like the added novelty of the rank (come on who doesn’t!). I think there should also be a small multiple-choice questionnaire on sleights and the history of magic before one progresses to the next rank. I know that people can cheat with these questionnaires but I don’t think most would bother... and if they did... well then they will have received an education nonetheless ! And regardless of whether this is a descent method of testing; I think it would add even more to the novelty of the rank progression.

Possible ranks after Senior Member could be:

1000 posts: Advanced Member
2000 posts: Elite Member
5000 posts: Veteran Member
10000 posts: Sage (Just to give you a bit of incentive Mandrake )

Who is with me on this? Should I be starting a new thread on this topic?

what about a "who is Mandrake?" thread. has anyone ever seen Mandrake and Mark Lewis in the same room at the same time???

I always thought Mark Lewis was really Richard Kauffman in disguise, however i am starting to wonder.

Just take note that you have 971 posts before your next rank (which will probably change by the time I post this

You do realise Sir Lewis is going to come down on you like a ton of bricks for that one !

Why? That's not your wife’s name, is it ?

Sorry, just fishing for some more clues regarding your shrouded identity 8)

Not quite! One of these days I shall reveal all in a moment of generosity and madness (probably with several well edited photgraphs) in Hello or OK! magazine for an obscene amount of money). Or, then again, I might not. As with magic, the truth is usually so banal and boring that it's best not to know.....

Anyways, back to a bit of the plot - I've started a discussion thread in the utterly and totally hidden area (Saloon bar of the Ferret and Handbag, Bromsgrove) for the Mods to see if changes/increases to the ranking system are possible and worth doing. Await with baited breath the results - by chucking out time on Sunday would be a reasonable timescale to work on  .

That's great news! I am sure a lot of people will enjoy the added novelty of a larger ranking system! So fingers crossed.

OK, 'tis done. See Tomo's new rank above!

(However, a word of caution for anyone thinking that shedloads of one word posts will get them up the ranking ladder - it won't  !)

w00t! I'm elite!

I shouldn't be happy about 5000 posts should I...

At least I'm not on 7000! Yet!

Wow... yet another level for us noobs to aspire to!

I can't help thinking though that some slightly more evocative 'Potteresque' rankings might have been fun... perhaps starting with 'Apprentice' and working up through 'Sorceror' to 'Arch Mage'..... or something!

I'll get my coat...

Wey hey!

I'd just like to thank everyone who voted for me, my producer, my dog, clowns, and, and... eh?

I shut up now, don't I.

Bah, I think I preferred it as it was lol
I feel like a n00b now

Oh well, off to the introduction section to welcome anyone and everyone who introduces themselves

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
