Hi Loz

As far as I am aware, it is not a purchasable effect. Good looking effect though.

PS. Happy New Year!

From what I understand, that this is not "an effect." He ACTUALLY does shove the needle through his hand.

In that case, all you need to "purchase" is a needle.

Good luck.

I am quite sure NO card magician would risk his ability to do slights by damaging his hand simply to do one "geek" trick.

I have to say I agree with Sammy. There has to be a "trick" to it, but I don't know how it's done.

I never saw it -- I only read a bunch of posts on a different forum where this other guy "knew" what he was doing and he said it was real -- I can tell you for sure that I wouldn't risk my hand for a geek trick, but I wouldn't risk my life over and over for whatever reason either.

Apparently, if you get a thin enough needle like the one for "needle through balloon," you can really push it right through without damage.

I just took his word for it because...

I AM NOT GOING TO TRY THAT!

Eeekkk… you'd have to be pretty committed to the art to push a needle through your hand... I don't care what thickness it is! :-)

You have to ask yourself the question though... did he do it?

You have to keep in mind the guy obviously has a bit of a sadistic nature... I suppose he could have done it. I mean would you, knowing millions would be talking about it for quite some time to come... isn't a bit of pain worth the sacrifice?

... Makes you wonder doesn’t it!

I guess unless someone knows otherwise AND is willing to "spill the beans", we'll never know.

I knew someone when I was at school who pushed a normal pin through his hand, one of the ones with a plastic ball on the end, I think if you get it in the right place it doesn't hurt much and won't bleed. I'm not going to try though, I ave spent too much time practicing my card moves to throw it all away.

I think you are right Lawrence, I was just making an observation.

I am sure it is a "Trick" like almost all of the other effects he does.

For example, all of the "Body" tricks he does have very simple explanations. We all know how he can turn his wrist through, 720 degrees. We know how he levitates, can pull thread from his stomach and even pull his heart from his chest!!! They're all just tricks, but he's DAMN good at performing them!

I would have to agree with the logic of:

"it is going to be available"

If "it" is going to be available, then "It" must be some sort of "method."

If there is a method, then "it" must therefore be an ILLUSION.

I don't know for sure, all I can do is speculate along with you. Thanks for stimulating the old squeeky wheels though. It's fun -- like in my school days the day after a David Copperfield TV special.

 from my experience with indian swarmies, its like sword swollowing you can do it for real, your hand is mostly flesh anesetic cream and practice will create a small dead patch (only recomended to dedicated piecers).
or you can fake it ie thread from stomach.
the point is why and when it would be apropiate, dictates if you buy it.
