If your thinking large type stage illusions I hope you have a big wallet. I am not sure I have seen any DVD teaching a large scale vanish. There has been lost of talk recently about how camera trickery is used for this type of effect. If you are interested in something more like... Vanishing from a sealed box then plans of how to construct this effext are avaliable to buy but they are reasonable high priced.

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

You can pay a lot more

If you want a cheap cabaret vanish of something then why not got for a mirror box or something like that.

If you are new to the magic thing - I would recomend starting smaller.

Try the Raven X2 for instance. You can pick these up from most magic sites (www.magictricks.co.uk for example).

Also - for vanishing coins try a book or DVD to get you started.

The price for effects like Criss Angle can be in the 1000s of GBP. Unless you are really clever and can come up with your own props.

As a last resort - buy a maigc wand and tap yourself on the head whilst saying the magic words - "Izzy bizzy lets get busy" That works for me.

Or on the smaller scale buy an oldie but goodie like "Vanishing Ladies and other magic by Norman Hunter". This book has some good low tech vanishes and appearances as well as loads of other useful gumph and effects. It may not be as spangly and advanced as Mr Angels, but is very suitable for a beginner and crammed to the rafters with old school gems (also heavily recommended for Kids Entertainers)

In fact after a dismal kids gig yesterday, I'm going to have to dig it out and see what I can rediscover!
