What do you all think of the potential this effect has? Forget about the price that does not matter to me. Anyone care to comment on it? i need something weird for a show and this fits the bill

Wow - that DOES sound really cool! If it looks good, I think it has the potential to really mess with people.

If you can afford it, I'd say go for it. It sounds like a showstopper. If you do get it, let us know how effective it is!

If you have the right act to accompany this then it would / should be ssimply stunning.

I agree Dat. i have been doing a small bizarre show that has gone down very well. This effect can help expand that! Thanks for the comments and if anyone has any more then please do.

The only thing I can imagine is someone being like:

"Okay turn around. Just turn around."

The spectator turns around. The magician takes a mask from his pocket and secures it snuggly.

"Okay you can turn back around now."

"Oh my God! How did you do that?!"

But I'm sure (I hope) it's better than that.

Thanks,

If you have some effects that dip into the macarbe then this would, as suggested be a wonderful finisher.

I also wonder if the effect could work in reverse where you can go from skull to face and dare I say it, back again. Fancy beginning AND ending your routine as a corpe in a coffin, perhaps as a vampire. Just add blood etc. and remove the fake stake from the heart.

Wish I had $600 at the moment

Would you share the problem over a PM without revealling the secret - if that's possible?

Just a few set-up problems. There was a book that had something similar, i am hoping when Craig is next online he can help!

It is NOT a picture of your face that changes, it is your REAL face

I'd be careful when performing that effect, the wind could change and your face would stay like that forever

It would take a bit longer, but its amazing what a few decades can do - and its completley free ...
Of course you would have to find the spec who would be willing to wait around for long enough.

fortunatly I have!

She is called my wife

Seriously, you could create some sort of parady of the picture of dorien Gray perhaps? You could mash up a whole macabre story line a bit like copperfield does with his up to date time machine/cut in half trick.

You could Have a portrait of you made up and gimicked so that you could cover it with a cloth so the audience couldn't see, and then perform some henious crime (murdering a stage hand ... or put a volunteer/assistant in an iron maiden for example ... blood, gore etc). The picture could then be turned around and be hideously disfigured into a resemblance of what you will eventually turn into. You could then have the picture destroyed in some way (well not really, that would cost too much) and you would have to have a reason. Perhaps you could no longer live with yourself for the guilt ... watch 'picture of dorien gray for ideas! ' Then stand before the audience in complete stillness, the feeling that it is at last all over. And then transform ...........
