If you've read the book why would you want the DVD?

My train of logic: Bobo's teaches and covers all of the basic sleights and then some --> wanted to see them taught as may be more of a visual learner --> ergo Bobo's DVD.

Any DVD that covers basic coin sleights is most likely to cover the ones that are already in Bobo (MCM) anyway.

And it might be easier to understand if you watch someone doing it rather than reading how to do it.

Can't go wrong with David Roth - the man's coin magic is excellent.

I think its easier to buy DVD's than books cause its easier to watch a dvd than read a book but thats a bit lazy if you ask me. There might be some good magic on dvd and some good magic you might only find in a book

I'm thinking of getting the Sankey one... Anybody got any views on that?

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

... depends on how your brain is wired! some people prefer text, others piccies, still others prefer to learn by hearing. You can't generalise unfortunatly. Use whichever you prefer ... and next time you want to buy instructional materials go for your preferred learning style first as it will save money in the long run.

Sanky rev. coin magic is great. Loads of stunts.

I've noticed though that the best we brits can do for a good sized coin for magic is £2. I need to invest in some old pennies ... my only concern is that because it uses a coinage that brits don't use (I could equally use dollars but have the same problem) there won't be the emotional attachment required to pull off decent quality magic. (guess who's been reading Darwin Ortiz and is learning something!)

Anyone else in the UK got views on coin sizes?

David stone has 2 volume dvd s that are very good. I have don studied these, but after a first watch i really like them. But They are not so basic -oriented like the Ammar coin dvd one.
