Postby down2infinity » Jul 15th, '06, 01:48

Nah not a typo... a lil " game " I just saw on another forum

thought itd be cool for the TM community spirit lol

Post 3 interesting things about yourself... two of them true and one false

The next person to reply should try to point out which one is the false fact, and then list their three facts

I'll lead by example:

1. Ive lived on the north, south, east and west coasts of the UK
2. I have an unfinished tattoo on my chest... because it was to painful
3. Ive never been involved with ANY drugs

( and btw, its your choice to confirm if they got the false one or not  )

I would say the tattoo one I had one and screamed my head off the whole time the did it and they ended up moving me to the store room as I was scaring people off!

Ok my turn... keeping on a sort of magical note...

1) I can memerise the order of two decks of cards after only seeing each card for 1 second with no mistakes

2) I can memerise the order of three decks of cards after only seeing them for 1 second with no mistakes

3) I can memorise the order of two decks of cards (1 red 1 blue) including the back colour and their location (eg: 2 of hears with blue back is in position 44) also if the card is up the right or wrong way if arrows are drawn on the back of the cards after only seeing the card front for 1 second and the back for 1 second. With no mistakes

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

Ok i think its the tattoo one from down2infinity, and the 3 deck one from AJ82 that are the false ones. Ok let me think of some for myself...

1) I very often get premonitions that come true.

2) I once tried to kill someone.

3) My real name is Rich, but everybody calls me Tim.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

All that, and you still can't spell "memorise" :P

Well, the only answer can be 3, surely; working on the principle that if you can do 2, you could surely do 1, and if either 2 or 1 are false it's very unlikely you can do 3... or is that too logical for magic?! Although perhaps remembering more detail for 2 decks is easier than simply the order of 3...

And Tim ( :D ) I hope it's 2 but I'm actually going to say 1...

Ok, here's mine:

1) I was the youngest person to win a Blue Peter badge.
2) One of my other hobbies is re-enacting the English Civil War.
3) I can ride the unicycle.

and your of the age like me that would lol!

ok my turn

i am a licanced minicab driver
i partake in the hobby of Live Action Role Play
i once had a lightsaber fight with a police man

2 are true up to you to pick!

Ok I am going to guess

trickyricky 1
Farlsborough 2
Pcwizme 2

And yes 3 decks was the faulse statement, I usually make 1 or 2 mistakes with 3 dacks and tried the other days with 4 decks and made 5 mistakes, not bad though 203 cards out of 208.

Abraxus, I don't think I've heard of a lime-juice allergy... So I'd go for that as a false. Quite frankly, you seem creative enough for the guitar playing one to be true—and who HASN'T wanted to knock over Bruno 'mullet' Brookes.!.?.!.?

Here's mine:

1. I have a birthmark shaped like a diamond on my hip, which is what got me into card magic.

2. I once won a bet for 300 Euro that I couldn't 'levitate' whilst in Amsterdam. I did levitate, but never got paid.

3. At the age of 9, I had a painting appear on TV in Tony Hart's 'the Gallery'. It was of a clown juggling with 4 balls, and on each of the balls was a card suit.

Siege - i'd go for your birthmark on your hip (not literally) as the false one...

your second one doesnt go into loads of detail to suggest a lie...

and your third, well you're a designer so the whole Tony Hart thing would fit in (aaah MR. Bennett where are you now?)...

yes, its not lime, its lemon! i come out in hives which can be quite amusing if i have anything with proper lemon juice in it, except mayonaisse thankfully...

i have been on an album (i was *gulp* sampled), playing some lead guitar and mucked about with...

and i freely admit to knocking over Mr. Brookes by accident, i got dragged along to an attempted indie night in Hollywood in Romford/Essex years back, and Bruno was d.j.ing...

i was trying not to drop a handful of drinks and backed into what i assumed to be a small bin and felt it fall over...turns out it was Brookes-y...same difference eh...

Bang on...

1. I don't have a birthmark on my hip at all. It was the lie.

2. Whilst performing some card tricks to a group of campers in Amsterdam, I was asked if I could 'do the levitation' trick. I said 'no, it's too hot and sweaty, and I'm drunk!' to which I got the response of 'Ahhh he can't do it! Bet you 100 Euro!'. I told all three 'hecklers' that I'd do it for 100 Euro from each of them, which they agreed to. The beggars never coughed up!

3. I was a keen artist since birth, and the clown I did for TH's Gallery was my first ever real oil painting. It was based, as I recall, on an illustration from the Guiness Book of Records. I added the card suits as a last minute thing, as I wanted the balls to look less plain.

Spot on, guys who guessed mine... although my name has nothing to do with either my real name or the hobby in question!

Seige, which particular "levitation trick" was this... balducci, by any chance?!

Were you there? lol

I did a hybrid actually... Balducci mixed with a subtelty from Zero Gravity. The main reason I was trying to refuse is cos I was wearing sandals. But, there was a little help at hand from mother nature ;)
