Drawing Room Deceptions by Guy Hollingworth has to be one of my all time favorites simply due to the writing style, fact that it covers most of the classic effects and includes a ton of ingenuity.
Enchantments by Wesley James is superb, largely in that it addresses a huge range of topics and does so very well in a systemized, logical and insightful manner.
The Paper Engine is another good book but for different reasons. It really shows you subtleties in technique and how to develop a technique, along with a lot of great approaches to the problems.
