Help on Catching Lennart Green's Top Shot

Postby ace of kev » Jul 27th, '06, 14:42

Okay, I have (kind of) got the 'shooting' motion of Lennart Green's Top Shot down, but I find it really hard to catch it.

Does anyone have any tips on how to catch the card? (and also how to shoot the card so to refine what i already have )

Thanks

You mean here ???

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Sorry guys, I searched yesterday and nothing came up :S

Edit: Actually no you didn't. I'm not asking for hwlp on how to 'shoot' the card, I'm asking for tips on how to catch it.

Here's a tip: try making a gesture with your right hand as if you're about to catch it from nowhere. Your right hand should be completely open, palm facing the left hand. The problem here isn't to catch the card correctly, the problem is to shot it in your hand. So, before the shoot, tilt the dec a bit upwards and you will shoot the card directly into your palm, then just grip it with your fingers. Even Lennart cannot catch it always, but the effect is good enough if the card just hits your right hand and drops because all attention should be on the right hand, not the deck.

The top shot is not hard to do at all, it's just very hard to master it to a level on which you can be certain to shoot and catch it on the first take. I don't feel comfortable performing it live.
