Greatest reaction I ever had!

Postby martingouin » Jul 29th, '06, 15:30

One day, at work, i performed a trick on a collegue. I shuffled the cards, make her cut, choose à pack, make her do 2 packs with it, choose a pack and make her do 4 packs with it. (sankey/sanders on a video).
Then, when the 4 top cards on her packs were aces, she looked at me for 3 seconds the backed up from me and looked at me like if I was possessed by evil.
That was something so funny!!!
What's yours???

Hello martingouin,

That trick is known as the "Poker Players Picnic" on the Royal Road To Card Magic DVD's, I have had some great reactions with that trick especialy if you point out that they cut the cards anywhere they liked, and you did not influance them at all.

I always get a great reaction with a trick called "Designed For Laughter" again from RRTCM.

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!

One of may fav tricks of all time (and always gets a great reaction) has to be "Out of This World".
The reason I like this is 'cos it's so easy to do, it's unreal (there's only one move you need to do - it's not even a sleight of hand  ), but it looks just about impossible from the spec's point of view. The simplest ones are sometimes the best
I can't believe out of all the times I've performed this - I've never been caught out yet (hope I'm not tempting fate  )

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
