Hello, just a quick intro.

I've been doing webdesign and graphic design for about four years. I'm currently working at a company and developing their website and graphics.

I was wondering if the people here would want me to develop a simple logo for the top left of the forum, not saying its bad or terrible or anything, its a good graphic, just maybe something different.

Maybe even host a small competition?

I'll post up some ideas later if this gets some response.

There was a thread on this a while ago which resulted in seige (another graphic designer!) coming up with this one. It was meant for a badge but would probably have become the logo too...

I think the general consensus was that everybody liked the idea in principle but in practice it never got off the ground.

Ah ok, great. Thanks for showing me that thread I didn't see it before when I look through the forums.

So should I just scrap this idea?

Nah - I for one wouldn't mind a new logo, the current one is really dull to be honest.

I'm sure a mod will step in soon though, probably the best thing is if you just 'wake up' the old thread, that's usually better than starting new ones.

More than likely! The logo thingy was chosen by the forum owner many moons ago so is something outside our sphere of influence. There was some discusssion about a change based on the high ranking which we have on Google but in the end we decided to stick with the established logo and wording -A great place for magicians to chat! 'Cos it is!
