Ambitious card moves

Postby matthewlfc » Aug 4th, '06, 18:09

These ambitious card moves are brilliant. Does anyone know where you can learn these or something similar? Especially that part at the end, where you could see the card rise through the deck.

Erm, many places you will be able to find the ambitious card routine, its a very versitil effect, you can have lots of different ways of starting and finishing one. The effect you are talking about where the card visibly rises through the deck is the pop-up move very easily done and learnt from many places, including i think born to perfrom teaches that move.

Daryl has a dvd out which teaches the ambitous card, one of the michael ammar dvds has his variation of the ambitous card, born to perform has a variation ( fairly simple), also one of the harry lorayne dvds has his variation of the ambitous card in, which is very good.

Hope this help

Hi. I know the ambitious card very well and have my own routine. I was just enquiring about the face up rise he uses were the card rises bit by bit, and the last rise, because that is DEFINITLEY NOT the Pop up move. The card is not bent, and it more closely resembles The Elevator by Gaeton Bloom without the gimmick.

Cheers for your reply, Matt

His card handling and flourishes really sold the effect. Great job to whoever that is.

The last move the card sttays of the top and de is just riffling the deck, looks very impresssive, but obvious, enough practise and you can achieve that.

Also the first bit when the card visibly jumps to the top i think i have found that Escalator by Gaeton Bloom think it sounds like the right thing.

I think if you chaps would care to study the Royal Road to Card Magic book, and perhaps also the Daryl DVD, all the moves shown are covered. Very simple stuff.

However, although its' all simple stuff, the performer made it his own, performed fluidly, and deserves top marks for that.

Very nice!

Just shows what can be done with a regular deck of cards if you're prepared to invest the time in learning SLEIGHTS rather than just taking gimmicks and packet effects for granted.

Amen

I could pass like that, I'd be on the telly... Mind you, if I could do that lovely one-handed cascade riffle at the start, I'd be Prime Minister and no mistaking 8)
