I noticed that the programme is repeated on Wednesday evenings as well. I managed to miss most of last night's repeat but caught just a glimpse of the end of the programme. Will wait to see Sunday's offering before saying more....

I watched as much of it as I could stand the other night and 75,000 viewers sounds a lot to me. They were asking the otherwise delightful Sarah Beeney whether she'd drown a bag of puppies or kittens when I switched off to watch paint dry.

The git presenting it is as pointlessly crass as Chris Evans, as aggressive and rude as Johnny Vaughan, as up himself as Jonathan Ross, and absolutely nothing like the sainted Letterman his site claims he's like - in any way shape or form.

From the earlier posts in this thread: Sunday (and probably next Wednesay late evening), Sky One, No idea about the time - Sky Progs are listed on line or the Sky Programme Search will show the details!

Personally I wouldn't speak that well of ANY of the names that Tomo mentionned and I think that you're being quite demeaning to all of the other gits out there

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I've just watched the segment. It appears the "magi" were told what they would be performing to make sure they weren't going to shine in any way... Cutting an unpeeled banana, moving a ciggy without touching it and, um, a tea towel with a mysterious force pushing the middle forward. Oh hum. Maybe no one from the magical community took the bait and these were production runners.

That nice Mr Daniels and the delightful Debbie looked very bored and slightly tense, as if they had just realised it was a joke and it might be on them at any moment... Mind you, he did a nice, simple Do As I Do.

Never mind; "Weeds" is on now.

Mrs M and I sat and endured this from start to finish - purely in the interests of research and appropriately informed comment. Mrs.M was not amused and has threatened me with dire consequences of the worst kind if I ever put that programme on again :? . The show was not good, it's cheap and nasty and really not the sort of thing I'd willing watch again anyway. I can see why the viewing figures are low but perhaps I'm just not in touch with modern TV trends - can't stand any reality shows etc. P&D did look a bit like they were there for the ride and, to be honest, if the TV company are prepared to shell out cash for folks to be vaguely involved in low quality TV then I don’t blame them for taking the fees. The cards across segment seemed to take on a different atmosphere because Paul was in control - despite the 'host' and his daft 'assistant' being involved. It will be interesting to see fo Paul makes any comment about this at the Ipswich Convention in October. Must check his Blog - lots of honest comments there!

Very much like Hitch Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy and the reference to Vogon Poetry being so bad that one audience member only managed to survive a poetry reading by chewing his own leg off :D .
