And she re-appears

Apologies for not being around much recently.
I got ran over and busted my foot and ribs. This was followed by the computer blowing up so off to the computer shop and it was quite amuzing watching my try and carry a PC out on crutches.
4 days it took to set up and get on the wireless network. What a job that was.
Being hit by the car took quite a bit out of me. I had a few problems sleeping and a few head aches from the bump on my head (which left a nice mark in the windscreen of the car).
But I am back now. Can't say I will spent much time online today as I am out most of the day but I will be back posting before you know it.
Thanks to all those who have checked up on me via MSN, PM and email. I am on the speedy road to recovery now and will be back in full swing before you know it.

Tell me about it! I spent a week trying to network a Windows and an Ubuntu PC and they still refuse even to accept the slightest possiblity of each other's existence!

Suggest you take them both out for a romantic candlelit dinner and leave them to get better acquainted!

Top tip, by the way:

Always turn on encryption if you're using WiFi. You really don't want the neighbours sniffing your traffic

Tomo, funny you should say that... We moved house back in April and it was a week before they could come and install our broadband so I hopped on the one down the road
I have set up the mac filtering on mine

And our neighbours don't have a computer...

Have you heard of FON? Brilliant idea.

especially when dealing with wireless, there is no simple solution. and when there is, you just missed a step or something

?!~

For crying out loud, the msn button under my name is to talk about magic with me, NOT A FREE MAGIC GIVEAWAY LINK. dont abuse it
