Where is the future of our art?

Postby Smooth » Aug 22nd, '06, 01:46

I'm asking those of you that DO NOT make their full income, or even part income from magic. In other words amatuers, skilled hobbyist, etc... those of you that dream of one day being a full time slave to this art.

Those of you who plan, within the next 10-15 years, or less, to become a full time proffesional magician.

Who are you? lol.

I'll take it back to the Ruff Ryders

Dunno...are you actually asking two questions?

Who are you? and,
Where is the future of our art?

Well, just like any other art-form, there's far more hobbyists than pro's; and some of the time it's us lot that keep the pro's going in one way or the other - whether it be through support (and therefore money) or being inspired by 'heroes'...and help the evolutionary process of it...

I'll do all you Pro's a deal (no seconds i promise), us amateurs/hobbyists will continue to support you pro's, and also help invent new and exciting methods and usage, if and only if you Pro's continue to inspire us all...

So, where is the future of our art? I guess the easy answer is "in our hands"....

I just love exploring and magic is both vast enough to still be mostly undiscovered country and yet the entry points are as small and affordable as a deck of cards. I'm getting comfortable performing tricks using what I've discovered so far, and where it leads depends on whether people like what I've discovered or not.

And I said "where it leads depends on whether people like what I've discovered or not."
