Low cost books to buy or hire are Royal Road to card magic, Modern coin magic and Mark Wilson's complete course in magic.

I was asking to be pointed to good books to look up at the library or low cost books to buy... I will look that book up though.

You didn't look it up on Amazon! It's currently only £4.17 in the UK!

Get it from the library, but you'll want your own copy when the fines for not taking it back mount up

At the risk of repeating myself, no one who respects magic gives it away. Look up "Mathematcs, Magic and Mystery" by Martin Gardner on Amazon.

Tomo, I think the misunderstanding came about because of me. The "no cost" refers to magic with everyday objects, coins etc. homsar showed his interest by going to the library of his own back, so thought this would help.

We are far to used to secrets grabbers, but he seems very genuine and interested.

homar, get the books suggested. Mark Wilsons one alone will give you an excellent base to start. I reckon you could do about half the magic in the book for about £10 or £15. Not sure what that is in dollars, but it will be spread over a period of time while you learn anyway.

Yes, I see that now. Problem over.

Hello Homsar

Google for "Jay Sankey" (he's Canadian and a fave round here) On his site, there's a link to a TV programme he is starring in called "Spellz" that may be of help as it's aimed at beginners, I think it starts 1st week in September

Hope that helps
