I own Criss Angel's levitation DVD but find it too much of a hassle to make the gimmick. Is there any other levitations you can recommend?

Many people Favour Elevator 2, i had the first version but had balance problems with it. I do Know that Iccarus effect is very good and a lot simpler to make as everything comes with it. But the price may put some people off.

I have Terrible balance Myself so even though I purchased Angels version I wont perform it never mind making the gimmick which dosent seem difficult just time consuming. I might even ask him if I could make them to order for people but hed probably say no. But then I can but try...

Or you could try to find someone to make the gimmick for you probably at a extra cost to you

I had a look for Elevator 2...it's amazing the sort of disclaimers they have to have:

Please note that this product does not create a blue sphere around the performer during performance.

The picture they have is here: http://www.masterofillusions.ca/elevator_2.html

Lol. I saw that aswell. I really want an elevator 2 but picked up an original elevator for £25 [will arrive soon!] £112 is TOO MUCH for one single trick [elevator 2.] I really want the price to go down and then maybe i'll buy one.

I've seen the demo vids for both elevator 2 and the icarus effect levitations and I'm not convinced either of them wouldn't be a waste of money and CUPs purchases and heres why:

They are both very expensive (think of how much magic you could buy for the amount they are going for )

The elevator 2 claims you can do it in the light of day but the demo vid shows the man only performing it in the dark.

The icarus effect demo shows the guy holding someone elses hands while he levitates and bending his knees both look suspicious and I'd like to be able to levitate on the ground not just up curbs/steps.

I hope someone can help me change my mind. Maybe self levitations are more stage magician rather than street magician

Well, i know how both are done and i'd say the icarus is maybe just too expensive. If the elevator 2 was £50 then i'd buy it, unfortunately its £112. It can be done in the day, it was probably just done i nthe dark for the light to be shown under the feet. I assure you it can be done anywhere, inside or out. It is much better than the elevator 1 but i don't think it should be double the price. If you see a second hand E2 [ iactualy havn't seen ANYBODY sell one second hand as they are so much better than the E1] then BUY IT!

The big problem here is that as soon as someone says 'It can't be done', magicians just go out and do it  !
