I am an amateur magician who limits his "appearances" to doing stuff for family and friends. I am fascinated by all magic but particularly like stuff that can be done impromptu or close to it. I have far too many packet card tricks. I love coin through soda can, mindbender at a meal with friends is fun, not great trick but fun, trilogy, strange travellers and killer elite. I look forward to learning more from all you nice folks. I want to learn a relatively easy coin vanish if possible. Not adverse to practice but just do magic as a hobby so not interested in hours on hours of tedious practice. Cheers!!

I find personally, that coin magic requires alot more work than card magic. There are plenty of great books (Such as 'Modern Coin Magic by J.B. Bobo') and DVD's (Such as 'Jay Sankey's Revolutionary Coin Magic') which will definatly cover things like basic vanishes. Both should be available from any decent retailer (Such as penguinmagic, although both are currently out of stock on there .co.uk storefront if you give them a ring they might have one floating around)

But either way you do have alot of practice ahead of you, I personally find alot of the palms and slights required in coin magic difficult, but for the sake of a tenner I would definatly pick up bobo's book, it's a must for even the aspiring coin magician.

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
