That is interesting. The video is a bit blurred, so I'm not sure if it's a good knot, but it looks the same as the other one at the end. Is the other one a proper knot, though?

the other one IS a proper knot, however, i won't tell more, i don't wanna expose the explanation; although, this seems to be a comlete different method.
I read on another foru that unfortunately, the written instructions that come with this trick are revolting and are difficult to understand; however, the effect in itself is fantastic.
I might get it, for $15... cheap!

If you look at the link I put, you can see that it is from themagicwarehouse.com, but you can find them all around.
If you google the name of the creator, you'll find various shops

Sorry , I was too vague...

Is this a separate effect or is it the same as STS? I thought that it was a separate effect but maybe it's just a new application of the same principle?

no it is not the same principle. At least that's what I read on a different forum. The original STS can't be performed while wearing shorts.
