That Knot Trick

Postby Serminigo » Sep 11th, '06, 16:26

Does anyone know about that knot trick where you hold the ends of a string and then you do something with your arms (put them under your armpits?) and then you pull and there's a knot in your string? Because I used to know how to.

Many of us probably know that one as it was published in a Magic magazine a while ago. If you're asking how it's done then you won't get any answers as it's not TM policy to explain how things work because we don’t hold the copyright.

Yes there are probably copyrights involved but even if we don't know that for sure, we need to be careful of accidentally giving away somebody else's secrets. It may sound harsh to newcomers who don't get answers to their 'How do you do that?' questions but there are a lot of Lawyers out there who would love the chance to take legal action if they thought they stood a good chance of winning! The only secrets you can safely give away are your own and even then be very sure that someone else hasn't also thought of the same thing.

basically, buy a book you cheapskate...

see it from our point of view, we paid, we read, we learnt, we practiced then we performed...if you're that interested, do the same...

...never expect something for nothing...

Well done Marco, you have the right idea! To a certain extent if we can help with a few tips and hints then we certainly will do and a PM is one of the most useful tools for this  .

Well...

It's a magic trick that has been passed on for generations, I'm sure about that, they did it in the middle ages before copyrights so no you can share it , and you can't copyright ideas you can only patent them.
