Thats so true and on that note I think this thread should die a horrible death.

This is the nub of the problem. Not only did he advertise the effect he pre-sold it with a promise of delivery at a later date. That's not the action of an average 12 year old kid, more like a seasoned scammer. I believe US Law also prohibits trade by a minor so the 'purchasers' should have known something wasn't right. The fact that people were daft enough to send money before having any real evidence that the item existsed is regrettable but I'll bet they don't make the same mistake again so at least their money has bought them some cold hard lessons in life.

But have people actually spent money, because the number 58 stayed there for absolutely ages and i didn't see any other number but 58 for the people that had 'bought' the effect. He could have indeed made up that 58 people had bought the effect to portray that the levitation is going to be sold out soon.

True indeed - the 'number sold' figure could be genuine, just clever marketing, or it could be part of the scam. Again, not the actions of a normal 12 year old. I guess we're unlikely to hear the full story but it's still a warning that not everthing we see is true. And as magicians we ought to know that without being told  !

But its paypal right? So you could just explain how much of a scam it is and they'll throw your money back wuite happily with a free mint. Paypal will always return your money and usually side with the buyer.

Well, it appears Alex has, well, reapeared! He is back and better than ever with his DVD that teaches the center tear. The amazing thing about this..... apparantly, you don't need to tear the paper  . For more information, see his website.

I tried his website, but it didn't go anywhere. It still just says "future home of axproductions."

Oh dear, several 'Reviews' only one name shown and that's a guy who was involved over at The Cafe on the Levitation thread hoo-hah so is most likely to be a confederate. Close on 20 spelling errors. How anyone can take this seriously is beyond me - can't we get the A Team to reform and sort him out - or relocate him somewhere out of the way such as Jupiter? Please?
