What about the other new products coming from AX Productions? They look pretty lame. Also his attempt at using the marketing technique with changing font size and boldness is quite laughable. This poor kid.

Well, Alex really has shook the magic community. I think this thread just broke TalkMagic records as the longest running ever. We're now on page 14. Not to mention that many of us have tried to put this thread to an end since page three.

This will probably be my last post for some time, we decided to stop selling the DVD for now. In all the negativity surrounding it, most of which we are responsible for, the value of the product is lost.
You all were very professional and respectful and I am very much grateful. At no time did I try to condone or gloss over what happened. Alex is a very different person now, he learned a major life lesson. Again I thank you guys for teacing it to him, its better he learns now than later when people may be less forgiving. Now I ask David, and the rest of you guys to be the better men and move on. Allex will continue to deal with the fallout from this for quite some time, he did not get away unpunished.
Thanks again,
Mike

then why does it keep going up on ebay, even after being taken down by them.

One of the three current listings on ebay.com is by axproductionslive. Two of them (including that one) are by residents of Brooklyn, and the same extensive product description and FAQ.

I've made a more realistic trailer for him. Hope he'll like it.

(Details removed by Mods - exposure is exposure even if its a spoof or parody)

As funny as that is, (It is funny), I'm not sure everyone's going to be ok with it. It has, after all, exposure to the method. Besides the exposure though, I thought that was neat.

So I presume you bought the dvd to get that footage?

I agree with the exposure bit.

That is freaking funny! But yeah, it exposes. Set it to private so that you an only show selected people the vid.

then why does it keep going up on ebay, even after being taken down by them.

Peter Loughran and his team are trying to sort some things out with this as Alex rips of the Elevator and shows people how to make a cheap, crappy copy.

Thanks for your comments.

I though long and hard about the exposure bit, but I came to the conclusion that:

1. He scammed a lot of people, and is continuing to sell it to people so deserves to be exposed.

2. The lev is so ridiculous, laypeople won't think 'oh, thats how you do it', but more likeley 'theres some daft kid making a fool of himself.'

I really don't think anyone will give this credit for being the method to an actual trick.

My alternate performance ending for the X Levitation (I didn't buy it).

Alex's original routine:
Go up to a random stranger, tell him/her to back off, then "levitate".

My suggestion:
For the Lev. part, just hop a few inches (you get the same effect). Ask the specs if they've ever been so astonished in their life. After the laughter subsides, take out a deck of Tallys or Ghosts and knock their socks off.

No, it doesn't deserve to be exposed. You are just further screwing the people screwed by Alex. Had it been his concept, MAYBE it would have been an acceptable line of logic... but even still I would find it improper.

I agree the levitation has only one real target audience, tv audiences. But you are hurting people like Criss Angel and not really Alex as much. (I am sure he will be hurting pleanty in the future anyway.)

Please discontinue that video for public domain.
