Hi there,

I was watching the Bill Mallone 'on the loose' series and saw Sam the BellHop - Fantastic effect and a great way of introducing cards (and for the shyer people out there a wonderful way of practising false cuts etc!!!)
I haven't worked out which video I need for the explanation of the part I am after but somebody may be able to help!!

I want to know how he gets the spec to cut the deck (and after some funny byplay) allows the deck to be completely (looking like fairly!) and can still continue with the productions!!

:!: I DO NOT WANT TO ASK HOW TO DO THIS TRICK :!: - before I get any posts about fishing for secrets!! I really want to know:

a) If I got the 'On the loose' Vid would it tell me!
b) Which one is it? I would love all of them but Christmas is coming etc....
c) Is there anywhere else (DVD/VID) where this is shown!!

PS - When I perform this I do it with a regular deck and I am presuming that BM does the same!!

There is a whole video devoted to the effect, i think JB magic used to stock it.

Thank you - Again being presumptuous - Do you have the title?
Or is it SAM THE BELLHOP - If it is I'm sorry for wasting your time!!

Yes bill do explain it, even though it's quite simple to figure out if you have been studying your card magic long enough. If you really already know the trick, and only looking to learn that move, either buy "on the loose" (which worth every penny and more), or open yourself a good book about card magic and look for the section about False shuffles.

I have been practicing that trick on and off for about 2 month, and though layman find it very amazing and amusing, I never get is smooth enough with the shuffles and the patter to be performed to a magician.

oh my. have done this one a few times and gets people laughing. lovely efect too but takes some memorywith the story and stuff involved. but it is def on bills on the loose and i have the whole collection. some of which is bloody hard to do :!: bill in lemon on the dvds is nice and also hard, as is invisible palm where you make for aces appear in one pile but suggesting you are palming a card even tho your hand is empty and all of a sudden an ace appears when you turn your palm dowm on the table. impressive but very difficult

all those that believe in telekinesis raise my right hand!!!

I saw bill Mallone perform it and screw up in the middle of that trick. He made it soooooo funny, he was coming up with the funniest stuff ever.

Thanks alot - It is just a couple of the moves which I was interested in.
I agree though - the memorising of the card order can be difficult, and set up can be difficult if you have a not quite complete deck!! I find most of it easy enough to do but I do not allow any spectator participation. this hasn't been a problem yet as people are just amazed to see the cards and story come together properly!!
Using a series of false shuffles and cuts I keep the desired order and change some of the last third of the story according to the cards I have etc.....
I will now try and pick up volume one of On the Loose!
Thank you all again!

I would love them all - My GF has different plans for my money though - and the winter season is getting ready to start up again!!
Maybe santa will be good to me!!!
Otherwise I'll have to start off with Vol 1 as suggested!!

Hi there,

i can't imagine a site that will display this trick but its simply a production of ALL the cards along with a story and flourishes - finishing with a nice poker hand. A great way of introducing cards and doesn't require a gaffed deck!!

It can be difficult to recover from tho when something goes wrong!!

Bill Mallone - On the loose!!

8) Watch it and Enjoy!!!!! 8)
