Cool, but I got a tip for you. Try waving your hand(upside down) while your doing the vanish instead of hiding it with your other hand. It will look WAY more visual! It will just look if the card vanishes from mid air.

If you pick up Now You see it, now you don't!, (which all magicians should have anyway) theres a way to show the back of your hand.[/i]

margera,
either the link isn't working or there is no access to that file.

it did however bring me to this:
"9 months of gestation in 20 seconds - New Version!"

The problem with this effect is that every once in a while you will run into a layman that knows this effect. There is a similar flourish in Expert Card Tecnique that I find much more impressive.

Ah the good old card vanish. when i first got in to magic all them years ago i brought a little book on card tricks, nothing spectacular like RRTCM. Any how the next thing i got was Mcbrides DVDS on card manipulation. Anyhoot i think you be better with out the hand in front, and all so vanish the card in an upwords motion. and look where the card is vanishing follow with your head in otherwords. Also reproduce the card where it vanished and you with have a much better effect you have the fundermentals down just be more confidant with out a screen.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

If you really want to make this convincing, do the pivot. That way, you can show the front and back of your hand empty.

I am with the others on this.....firstly, keep the other hand away, and secondly, it in itslef is useless (in my opinion) without learning how to show the back of the hand as well....specs can quite easily figure out that it really only had one place to go....
