I know a lot of you on this forum like a bit of bizzare Magik so i need some help please. Ive been doing alot of close-up and mentalism for the last 5 years or so but now i want to refresh myself and link my mentalism with a bit if bizzare for some fresh routines. I think mentalism and bizzare magik go better than close-up and mentalism so i would appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction. I mean ive been on lebanon and black artefacts website but i dont really know what im looking for. So if a few people could tell me which piece of bizzare magik is one of the strongest in there reportoire i can check it out and see if it fits my style. Also any other websites like lebanon and black artefacts would be nice so i can explore all avenues. thanks

what do you mean by bizzare?

i think the amount of plastic katie price has is bizzare, but that's just my opinion.

in my experience, what little i have anyway i would suggest just researching old(e) folklore and stories for inspiration...

as you say, as everyone has different styles and characters that would drive how and what you present...

Look at the Doc Sheils book on martinbreese.com for inspiration...

But you could in theory, just come up with a little story based around what effect(s) you wish to achieve...

Ghost Glass II, Fuse and other supplies can help too...

But stick to the basics really, read a couple of M.R. James stories, H.P. Lovecraft, Sheridan Le Fanu too - not only fantastic stories, but there's plenty there if you can't come up with anything completely by yourself yet...

a few simple changes to standard tricks can make them a touch on the more "bizarre" side. for instance, a mercury fold and production from the mouth could be considered to be a standard way, whereas if you include a blood capsule in your mouth and some violent wretching motions you've instantly got something a lot more "bizarre". (this was one of my "magic for the goths" ideas, when i just added a little extra something to the tricks i already did; on that note, the torn and restored dove went down quite well, there's a trick on Sankeys' FireStarters where you get someone to rip a paper heart in half and with a bit of a flash it's restored, change heart to Dove and you've got something that appeals more (to "certain" people)
