I had a CUPS moment

Postby leighton » Sep 21st, '06, 14:50

Hi friends,

I am easing myself back in gently, so here is an update on what I have been up to.

I had a nice little delivery yesterday to cheer me up after my recent life crisis (in another thread)

I got an Invisable Deck, Elastic IT, Pair D'lights, Sponge ball to square, Needle Through Arm, Colour Deception Brass, Flash Pad and a few other bits n bobs.

I was with some friends last night and tried a few tricks on them, the ID blew them away as did the colour deception, Pena-coin was cool especialy as the friend picked the coin to be used, my sponge ball tricks got some laughs and when I stopped one of thier watches one guy nearly wet himself. I havn't tried the needle through arm yet, as I need some good removal fluid (if you know what I meen) anyway it did give me a huge boost and made me feel good.

Regards
Leighton

It is allways a problem trying to keep to a budget lol,

I have been drawn to the x-box 360 too, have managed to resist so far, but I don't know how long I can keep it up.

I will probably end up getting some more magic though! hehehehe

Ohhhhh stop it! I played Tiger Woods on it instore and was very impressed with it, I usualy play Golf on the PC because of the graphics are far superior to any console, But the 360 is as good as the PC.

i was going to wait til after the release of the PS3, assuming the 360 would be cheaper afterwards, or i could get one second hand easily enough. but that's been pushed back. gah! might wait still

:S

I spent £3200 at the Dixons duty free shop on the way out to Cuba

(£2000 on a new digital camera + accessories, new Video iPod for me & the Mrs, and a new printer!)

Damn, I hate CUPS!

i read some specs ages ago from some programmers who said technically the PS3 has some more powerful components; but its much harder to program and you cant split up the memory to certain areas like you can with the 360...and the 360 is far easier to program with...

so i think overall you get more enjoyment out of the 360 - i got one purely cos i dont just want constant update after update of the same games...i'll be getting the wii when its out too..that looks interesting...

im not convinced on the blueray dvd and stuff for the PS3, and i dont want to have to update my entire dvd collection either...

i did play the 360 over the weekend round a mate's house who has a 42" lcd hd tv, and it was superb...especially the boxing...it was really like watching a proper match...

Now I'm just a simple young lad who doesn't understand fancy acronyms like CUPS but I do know I often check my bank balance a short time after getting paid just to see how well I'm doing and I'm surprised to see how low my balance is! (Although I don't...or rather can't...spend as much as some of you!:D)

I think recently it was an overdose of Jay Sankey.

On the subject of consoles, I have to get a PS3 as I need to find out the conclusion of Metal Gear Solid 2!!

i find buying little and often for magic is an absolute killer...

£20 here, £35 there...a couple of books, a dandy chop cup...before you know it, £300 up the chimney...

still, its all an investment..and i have a lovely library of magic and some pretty objects to admire when im skint...
