the unicorn

The unicorn by Antonios Zacharia $15 from Laganshire Magic Products (now closed so there may be some on the trading forums)

Difficulty 2
(1=a (insert own animal/mineral/vegtable with minor or major affliction) could do it 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

DescriptionYou, the Wizard, borrow a coin from a guest as you roll up your sleeves completely and clearly show your empty hands, both fronts and backs. No strange, oddball or illogical moves involved, you just show pure emptiness. You cleanly place his coin on your opened hand as you explain that it will represent the mythical creature known as the Unicorn. You begin to "spin a tale" of the fabled animal, who could appear and disappear at will, and, of course, could never be caught. With one slow and smooth motion, you wave your empty hand over the hand holding the coin, and the coin vanishes completely from sight, as you show both hands completely empty on both sides once again! The coin is no where to be found! With another slow, smooth motion, you wave your empty hand over the other, and the coin reappears once again! You conclude by giving the guest back his coin and telling him to guard his Unicorn well as many people throughout his life will try to take her form him.
The Unicorn is the cleanest, most visually pleasing magical coin vanish on Mother Earth! Easy to do! The gimmick is absolutely devious!
No pulls, threads, or wires .
Can and should be performed in short sleeves, or no sleeves at all!
Can also be performed completely nude!

Review for once it actually does what it says on the tin, with only a minimum of setup time and no reset time this is perfect for strollers, however its pretty angle specific so i would suggest only doing it for one person at a time

Overalla pretty good effect which is simplistic in its execution and devastating in its results

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

Well it sounds pretty ingenious (and I like the unicorn story)- you sold me with the review. It's just a shame I can't find anywhere online that still stocks it.

I guess I'll keep a look out on the various for sale forums.

(and just for every ones peace and mind - if I do find one I promise not to perform it in the nude... )
