Since I am new and have gained such valuable information reading these boards I wanted to give back. I am a hobbyist, i.e. magic for friends and family only, who recently bought Fraud. It is spectacular and very easy--making the gimmick is also very easy, it just takes a little time, probably about 10 minutes, but is fun to do and not difficult at all. Don't worry about the difficulty level. It is simply fantastic and gets great reactions. I also love coin through soda can, which is also easy. It just requires some practice, but really not that much to do it for fun. I am currently working on Torn which is a little more difficult to make look good and look forward to Third Degree Burn. Hope this helps.

after performing Fraud once! i have to write a review. (aka im have time not being lazy)

The Effect
explained eariler

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
the trick it self:1
but constructing the gimmick and such: also 1 but it may take a little time. its not rocket science or anything

Review
I LOVE IT. as usual, ellusionist made the dvd menus and the dvd look great. if you're not familier with Daniel Garcia's work, check out his other works (greed).

as i said eariler, constructing the gimmick takes some time and it is easy to do after you learned how to do it. the only downside is that you have to make multiple gimmicks to redo this trick

the reactions i got were AMAZING, even with my terrible patter, it didnt matter. heheh rhyme the handling is so easy and this trick may be possible to link up with other dollar tricks

but it might pull the trick too long (personal opinion)

Overall
GREAT!
9.5/10
pros: great reactions, so easy to do and make
cons: must make more then one gimmick in order to do the trick more then once

?!~

I agree about the gimmick. But it is SO worth it. It's so innocent to give them the bill you just did something amazing with...and it's COMPLETELY EXAMINABLE which blows me away.

Thanks,
Dominick

OK, for the UK version, the FOLLOWING image is a great way to do FRAUD with a 5er.

Yes, it's possible. And looks fabulous if done smoothly.

Garcia's a clever lad, and FRAUD can certainly go down on my list of 'good buys' lately.

(Circled on the left image are the areas of change, the 'Fraud' bill is on the right)

Does it have to be moved over the water mark or could be over the queen or something?

Well, whatever is to be moved can go ANYWHERE on the bill. The reason I chose the clear area is because it's more visual for the 'moved' bit to appear in a clear area, although Garcia adds, quite rightly, that the overlap provides more authenticity.

Yeah, that'd be very cool but the problem is, would you want to do this to a fiver? Its easy for everyone i nthe USA as you can get such a low currency note.

it doesnt really matter what type of bill you use (high or low) you wont really lose or gain any cash

You don't lose a penny...

1. You make the gaff (non-destructive, there's a way round it which doesn't kill a bill, unlike the dollar version—use your imagination!)
2. You borrow a £5er
3. Speccy signs
4. Do the effect
5. Job done—you keep the BORROWED £5er, speccy takes the gaff

You end with a totally clean bill.
