The alarm was originally released last year and was endorsed by many of the Country's police forces who recommended installation at around £200. I think that they were on commission as they were actively trying to arrange sales in areas that were well known for congregating teenages and anti-social behaviour. I bought 3 of them at the time for testing.
The alarm is called the Mosquito and it required someone to activate it by pressing a button. Many businesses steered clear as they didn't want to become targets for revengeby the people that they were using it against.
However, soon afterwards a number of local authorities started to ban the very product that their own police authoriy was promoting, saying that it was itself an anti-social device and that it contavene's teenagers rights etc; particularly if they were not being anti-social themselves. A bit like the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing if you ask me and there was quite a bit of publicity across the security sector at the time.
It all seems to have died a death over the past few months.
The ringtone seems to be just an attempt to jump on the bandwagon as the polyphonic sound processor in the phone can't transmit the frequency as far as I am aware. The alarm had some special processing unit to generate the right frequency soundwaves.
The Mozzy looks like a rip off.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
