OK, so I just went ahead and got this anyway despite not having read a review. I am fairly pleased with it so far. I have never had an impression pad before so I am afraid I cannot compare, but the workings of this are rather clever. I dont know how clear an 'impression' i should be getting but it just seems a little grainy to me (although I can still mostly make it out so I guess it will do the job). It seems very good for the price compared to other impression pads I considered, despite having to order it from the USA. It's also very easy to use.
