Jack Wright needs YOU!

Postby JackWright » Oct 13th, '06, 17:16

right, here goes...

I am doing my GCSEs over the next two years, one of which is in business studies. For part of an activity I have to set up a business to run with 4 other people in the next 2 years. So, I need you guys to come up with a product or service which I could provide.

Any ideas would intrest me but ideally it needs to be all or most of the following:

Intresting, inventive and something that you cant, or would find it hard to get.
Easily made or bought.
Somethnig which people will want
Appealing to a large market
Have large profit margins

Well, thats all i can think of for now.

I'm sure I can come up with something over the weekend, but any help is appreciated. (any idea which I decide to use and makes me a profit will receive 47p in loose change)

Thanks
Jack

 not really.

It's sort of an out of hous thing and so other people are allowed to help.
Unlike coursework, it doesn't count towards my overall exam grade.

Buying wholesale then selling on eBay?

Like... wholesale toasters or something... :P

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

tbh good luck mate! if you can find something out there you can buy low and sell high that no-one else is then you have done well (also remember that you need to remember that it takes money to make money)

Ask Bill Gates or Richard Branson.

I think what you're asking for is a bit of a Holy Grail. If anyone here could give you such answers, they'd be a bit daft—as they'd be passing over their golden ticket!

Good luck!

Pcwizme and Seige, i can see where you're coming from, it does sound impossible. Obviously all of the things on the list will never really be possible to acheive, but I just wanted to give you an idea.

Flash, if you ever go into the business of making Plastic Wildebeests the you'll have my custom. Good idea, I might try making one. Not sure how it'll sell though...

EckoZero and Mandrake, both good ideas. I have considered buying stuff wholesale and selling it on eBay, I will ask if thats allowed. Mandrake, I would be intrested to know if you have experienced difficulties with mousetraps (micetraps?), and if there is a huge gap in the market.
Selling monkey thimbles sounds great abraxus, im sure thats the way the way to go and you can be sure that when I become a monkey thimble selling millionaire, I'll give you five quid.

You should know that it ddoesnt have to be a brand new idea, just something that I will be able to make and will sell

Well, thanks for all the ideas anyway, if anyone has any more, just let us know....
