This happens to almost every new user, so don't feel excluded. Just read the rules.

The title of this forum is Talkmagic so you seem to have found exactly what you're looking for in that respect.

Just to clarify the situation, we're happy, nay ecstatic, to share ideas and thoughts but not details of tricks or the methods used – that’s the intellectual property of whoever invented the trick so isn’t ours to give away. If anyone here develops or invents a genuinely new trick then they can divulge as much as they like.

If the trick is new but involves sleights originated by someone else, what then?

This can be a grey area but if something uses existing slights then I'd say you need to be very sure you can reveal the mechanics of those slights. In that case contact with the originator ought to be made if possible and permission obtained. If this isn’t possible, see if any other routines include the sleight and see what that author did about the problem. Sometimes it's enough to credit the originator but these days you need to be very sure that there won't be any comeback on giving out details which aren't your own - err on the side of caution unless you have excellent lawyers!

If the trick or routine is to be marketed via a reputable supplier, they'll be able to check and advise you in this respect.

Putting an email address on an open forum is really not a good idea!

Even putting it in your profile is probably not a good idea either because I have had to change settings on my junk mail folder because I was getting a lot of spam. At least Delude is smart enough to have "pm me for email" on his profile.

A popular idea is to have a sepaprate e-mail account for TM - hotmail and gmail accounts are very common. That way your 'normal' e-mail address is kept secret until you want to pass it on to someone.
