Found this today, and even though I figure it out, I am still very impressed. I dont want to expose it, but it would be cool to have a discussion with one of the veterans here about this.

Anyhow, I liked everything about this, what did you think?

The effect is simple technically, but that is (as we all know) not important. What is important is the effect on the spectators; and from that perspective, the effect is excellent.

I am not sure what kind of discussion you are expecting about this effect, but let's see what happens.

Great trick. I am guessing sleights only, maybe some sticky on the cards too.

Reminds me of when I had that tube that you made hersey kisses appear.

The best use of this slieght that I've seen to date is on Andy Nyman's DVD - Get Nyman where he produces a bettery with a nice piece of misdirection and patter

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

A perfect example of 'Simple but effective'.

Notice the reactions he gets......

Pop out a Ring, instead of a Herseys Kiss..

what a way to propose to a gal!

awsome trick loved it. An appearing ring if you were purposing to a girl that would be quite nice. because on her part it would be way unexpected.

Yes, this is a great trick!
I believe it was created by Cyril Takayama, a very talented Japanese/American magician. You can see his version of it here :)

lol, I just did this trick a different way than the way he does it, I think...

:(

Can I PM someone and tell them how I do it? Any feedback on my method would be great, if I cant, then I'm sorry for exposing.
