Did anyone see the TV Special on Channel 4 a few months ago: Chris Angel- Mindfreak. I don't remember most of it but remember that even the voice over dubbed him as 'A darker alternative to David Blaine'. Even down to the publicity stunt where he spent hours under water (I never new about this but apparently it was big news in America - which is debatable). He did do one amazing effect though, he was under a solid trash can above a solid pavement, surrounded by people and he disappeared only to reappear seconds later on a rooftop above.
I just wondered what other people thought of him. He seemed OK apart from his obvious David Blaine immitation.

Yes Chris Angel ....Mind Freak
Looked a cross between Marilyn Manson and Simon Drake
I enjoyed his style of performance far more than David Blaines
He would appeal to Goths everywhere

Yeah, I saw that, and you've gotta feel sorry for the poor guy. He was doomed as soon as he got inside that water tank, what with the cooling system and the water recycle thingy screwing up. And that trick where he was inside the bin and then on the building, I've studied that damn tape till I wore it thin, and the only explination I can think of is, he crawled out really fast while the bin was being put down. Not a very good explination, I admit, but I can't think of any other way he could of done it. That or that really cool robot trick.
