Raven in a T-Shirt?

Postby jingo » Jun 13th, '03, 16:36

To use a Raven will I have to be wearing a suit-style jacket, or can I perform it in a T-shirt or a tighter jacket. I've heard it's possible in T-shirt but is it much more difficult? I think Blaine performed it in a T-shirt but I might be mistaken.

blaine performed this in a jacket. however it is possible to do it wearing just a shirt but for personally i think a jacket is the best option... seemingly on the raven video theres a method that uses just a tshirt but youd have to ask someone else about that cos i dont have it

Thanks Mr/Mrs the mog

but will it have to be a 'suit' jacket. Do the cuffs have to be particularly loose.

Sorry, but I can't see for the life of me how you'd use the Raven in a regular t-shirt. The only way I can think of involves surgical Micropore tape (my ex-fiancee used to be a nurse!!!)... but this may NOT be the best approach set-up wise.

Loose blazers or jackets are the only way to go, really.

I've done a sort of 'impromptu' 'last trick of the night' set-up, involving a plain white t-shirt and carrying your coat draped over your forearm type-of-thing (follow?) - but I've not tried it 'live' as yet.

It's a natural situation, though, and the effect could quite easily be pulled off. Especially if the vanish is done downbeat, and you do a production using another identical coin immediately afterwards...

Ideas...

for t-shirt, think belt. That should explain it to anyone who has one! Just experiment, I'm sure you'll find a way that works. Personally I rarely use my raven, but when I do I find it easier to use a shirt.
