FRAUD with UK money bills

Postby yoshi » Nov 11th, '06, 12:10

I love FRAUD, it rocks. But has anyone developed a way to do it with UK money?

If I perform it here, they will know the bills are gimmicked 'cos they are US...I've examined 5 quid notes, but can't see an obvious way to perform this trick.

I am waiting to make my version on Indian currency.

The technique (I assume) can be used on any currency. Just instead of moving the "letter" (as from the US currency) move something else.

Currently I plan to move the stamp mark on the note.
That way I can use the story that there are many security feature like this stamp.
Or I may even try it on a watermark.
On notes here, there is one watermark. If you look at the note normally it will look like an uncoloured flower but when you look at it against light the flower gets coloured.

So I was thinking of using it. If not I'll move the stamp. :D

Take a look at this thread
http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic13893-0-asc-0.php

Basicly, fraud can probably be preformed on most bills from around the world, with I would immagine the exception of plastic bills like they use in australia.

Assuming the item that you want to move is on a solid area of the bill, without anything passing behind it, you should be able to move it with a bit of work.

Just follow the instructions on the Fraud DVD.

What's the best thing to move?

Postby Dead Man Walking » Nov 12th, '06, 11:04

Hey magicians, need to learn from your kind advices again.

What is the best thing to move on the Indian bill?
Please have a look at the bills below.

Most probably I will be getting a 10, 50 or 100 rupees bill from spectators.
100 has the most chance.

So what will be the best item to move?
Most probably they would be:
The Satyamev jayte mark: at the lower left corner. Image
or the RBI mark at he lower right corner.
or something else?

Unfortunately there is one serious problem with both.
Both are on a coloured background so to prepare the gimmick bill would be extremely difficult as during step one some of the background colour may also be removed.

Would it be a good idea to move the value of the bill (like move the number 10 in a 10Rs bill) as this would give more lot of a punch.
But it was possibly not done by the creator because of the same problem as of mine.

Please help, I really want to perform this wonderful trick.
Help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

There seems to be no end to my problems.

I tried the first step of preparation of gimmick and in the process tore the bill and then another one.
The first step just isn't working and I have done it as best as I can.
And it was not a human error or because of mechanical problem. When I did the first step I made a hole in the bill and still the ink was intact.
Perhaps Indian bills have some special ink that just won't ......

Damn its so hard to describe my problem without revealing too much.

Can someone please PM or reply here as I need some help with the trick.

Thanks.

I'd try moving the word "20 rupees" on the 20 since the whole bill is one color which would make it seem less suspicious. As for the problem with the first step, I can't help you much but I will PM you with an idea.

Thanks.

But I most probably will not get a 20 Rs note. I will get either a 100 or 10 or if lucky then 50. Rs 20 is quite rare.

Have lost yet another 260Rs on the first step.
Damn this is costing me more than the price of this trick!

But I will do it.

I'm not sure if this would work over in India but here in the states, when we want something that is a rare (in terms of money) you just go to the bank and ask if they have any day after day for a week or so and usually they will get one by then. I forget for what reason, but a while back I needed a large amount of 2 dollar bills and I was able to collect them all in a matter of about 2-3 weeks.

Hope this helps,
~David

But that way I won't be able to ask for a bill from the spectator.

So they will think that it was gimmicked already.
