Dealing pairs...

Postby BrunoAlex » Nov 11th, '06, 18:42

Hello,

I've recently seen a card trick where the magician deals perfect pairs (9 of hearts and the 9 of diamonds, king of clubs and the king of spades) out of a shuffled deck (which is shuffled and cut by the spectator).

This is how the spectator sees the trick: a deck of cards is shown face up and is (apparently?) totally randomized. The magician performs a sequence of riffle shuffles and then proceeds to deal perfect pairs (eg. a pair of black nines, a pair of red aces...); he deals those after a series of cuts or simply from the top of the deck. After a few pairs have been dealt, the magician asks the spectator to shuffle and cut the cards. After that, the deck is returned to the magician's hands who deals more perfect pairs (again, from a series of cuts, from the top or face of the pack...). This is done untill the entire deck has been dealt in perfect pairs.

You can see the trick being performed in MagicVideoDepot.com. Just search for a video named "MORE CARD SHARK".

Does any of you know what's the name of this trick and where I can buy/learn it?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply.

I have read the forum's rules. If you consider that I'm offending any of them, please let me know how and I'll correct it.

Also do note that I'm not asking for instructions on how to perform that trick, I'm merely asking if anyone knows how it's named and where I can learn it (on-line magic store, DVD, book...).

Thanks.

I can't see the video link u posted but something similar (if I understand you correctly) is the Twins trick on the "13" DVD. I do it quite a lot and it works very nicely.

And I think this is a fair question under the forum rules. It isn't "how do you do it?"

Please post an introduction though.

Is this similar to the "Twins" trick on the "13" DVD?

Thanks again.

P.S. - If you can't see the video, you can search Magicvideodepot for a video named "MORE CARD SHARK".
