Birthday trick - any suggestions?

Postby Farlsborough » Nov 14th, '06, 15:54

Hi all -
No, not a trick to perform at a birthday, a new trick, for my birthday. A present, if you will!

I ordered something from world-of-magic.co.uk and ended up sending it back, so I have about £12 credit on my account. It's my birthday tomorrow, so I'd like to treat myself to some magic *appropriately* for once!

And that's it! That's the brief! Item should be under £30, and as I've got a shed load of work on at the moment what I'd really like is something... erm... self-working  I know, I know - but I just don't have time to practice any serious moves - I mean, it can involve your basic card/close-up sleights, but nothing knuckle-busting. Really it's just something to make me smile amidst the deadlines! It could be an accessory, or just a really cool one trick pony trick. If it's something you've just seen, that's fine - if it's something that you own and put a massive smile on your face when you received it, even better!

The lines are open!

Hmm lets see, well I was going to suggest WOW! but that's a bit over your budget I think. I'm just going to suggest some things that I would like.

Crystal Vision:

Devin Knight's Far Sight
see review: http://talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic13790.php

3rd Degree Burn:

An IT reel.

Some cups and balls.

Those are some things which I would like currently.

Sweet! Cheers Andy, that's exactly what I'm looking for... I'll definitely get Crystal Vision at some point, but as WoM has "Third Degree Burn" at the moment, I think I'll go with that.

Looking forward to it already... :P

It's my birthday tomorrow as well. I want to get voodoo doll
I'll probably end up being disappointed with it but it looks like fun.

No prob buddy. Make sure you tell us how good it is when you get it! On second thoughts you might not want to, for my sake - I will just end up spending more money then!

Chris Angel performed at a kids party on his blooper episode. You can see his frustration as he tries to impress a group of five-year-olds.
