I'm kinda new with magic. I know a few fairly good tricks and enough sleights to pass at my school as a resident card magician, but I'm really less than a novice compared to what i have seen basically everyone else do. My goal is to become proficient, i hope i can do that here

haha thanks. And yeah, i really only enjoy preforming card magic because i love making seemingly mundane things such as a pack of cards do some extraordinary stuff. My dad taught me the slapper a few years ago and thats really what got me on to it. I don't have any real funds for buying any tricks, so i go to the library to get books on it and just try to figure it out by watching people do it.

To be proficient all you need is Royal Road to Card Magic.. this will fine tuned your current skills and teach you some new things..

Id say also study Bobo's modern coin magic.. coins can be borrowed and miracles made.. more commonly available than cards and so many uses!!

Cards is my speciaility, though I wouldnt be a one trick pony..

Maybe a one trick horse though.. horses are pretty cool [/b]
