The Blue Book
Desire
Business cards are handed out and people write down places that they have visited apart from one, who writes down a place they haven't been but would like to visit. A Living and Dead Test variation.
Burnt Offerings
Someone thinks of ESP symbol, writes it down, and the paper is burnt. The ashes are smeared on a business card which is given to a third person (who is in another room). This person 'reads the ashes' and reveals the chosen symbol.

Clever and inventive use of Brainwave deck.
'Tis the season to by lying
Another Living and Dead variation. People fill in gift tags (labels that are attached to christmas presents) addressed to love-ones. One person puts the name of someone they've never met on their tag. Ingenius method of indentifying 'lying' gift tag.
Pre-duck-tion
A plastic duck is hung from the ceiling. There is a rolled up billet in it's beak. A spectator is invited to guess the word that is written on the billet. She guesses and a second spectator reaches up and removes the billet. The guess is correct!
Dangerous Game
Russian Roulette style effect using 6 cards (representing chambers of a revolver). One of the cards is marked with an X (representing the bullet). The cards are shuffled. The mentalist must choose 5 (fires the gun five times) and leave 1.
The Temperamental Guest
Mentalist and spectators sit around a table, on which there are 5 objects and a drawstring bag. The bag is given to Spectator A and an envelope is given to Spectator B who is asked to sign it. The mentalist leaves the room and the spectators are instructed to put on object in the bag and the others back in their box. When all is done, the mentalist returns and can predict which object was chosen.
Geometric Coin
Mentalist leaves the room with some paper and a pen. S/He returns with the paper ripped into two billets. Placing them on the table, it is explained that the billets contain 2 predictions. A handful of change is dumped on the table and a spectator is asked to name a geometric shape and pick up a coin. He does so and the first billet is opened. It says "you will think of a square". However the prediction is WRONG. The second billet is opened, it contains a coin - the same one as the spectator chose, and a message saying "sorry, only joking, you were thinking of a triangle!" - which is correct.

Method of gaffing a business card for magical effect.
Elemental
There are four bowls, one contains water (WATER) another contains a candle (FIRE) the third is filled with salt (EARTH) and the last is empty (AIR). Cards are put infront of the bowls, marked with a W (for water) an F (for fire) and so on. A spectator is asked to choose an element, he choses FIRE. The cards infront of the other bowls are shown to be blank on the reverse. The one behind the fire bowl is scorched on the reverse.
Double Undercurrent
The mentalist tells the audience that s/he has a locked box containing a piece of paper on which a member of the audience has secretly written the name of a playing card. The audience member stands and confirms that this is true. A second spectator is invited on stage and handed a new deck of cards, asked to open and remove jokers and advertising card. He then shuffles until satisfied and one card is removed and put in a second box (unseen) which is locked. The other spectator (mentioned above) joins you both on stage, the conditions are recapped and the boxes opened. The card chosen and written on the paper by the first spectator and the card selected by the second spectator are the same.

PK demonstration. Several metal items are borrowed and put on the table. Mentalist stares at them, they jump and several items are now bent.
The Red Book
Four-Sided Triangle
One spectator is asked to look after a sealed envelope and another is asked to think of a playing card, both prior to the show. A third spectator is invited on stage and asked to chose a playing card. The card in the sealed envelope, the thought of card and the chosen card are all the same.
Parallax
Three spectators are brought on stage. Each is given a pen each and a pad between them. They must stand at one end of the stage, while the mentalist, with his/her own pad, stands at the other end with his/her back to them. The first spectator is asked to draw a simple geometric shape. The second is asked to take the pad and write a letter of the alphabet on it. The last spectator is asked to write down a number from 1-100. The mentalist reveals his pad showing that it is indentical to the spectator's pad.
Disposable Color
Mentalist throws a crumpled up ball of paper into the audience. Whoever catches it is invited on stage. When they arrive, the mentalist asked them to think of a colour. Once they have done so, they are asked to un-crumple the ball of paper - the colour they chose is written on the paper.

The Happy Horoscoper
12 cards are shown, each have a different sign of the Zodiac printed on the face. A spectator is asked when their birthday is. They say and the card with their sign on it is put to one side and the others are put aside. The mentalist says, "you know, I was planning to meet a Gemini tonight" and reveals the discarded cards to be blank on the reverse and the Gemini card to have "Happy Birthday!" on the reverse.
Satan's Nightmare
Earlier in the evening a spectator has been given a sealed envelope. A deck of Tarot cards is introduced sometime during the performance. A different spectator is asked to take a Tarot card. Given a card, the spectators is asked write down a number personal to them. Later, the sealed envelope is opened to reveal the tarot card chosen with the chosen number written on it!
Your Choice
Mentalist writes down 6 things. One of those things is called Your Choice. A spectator is asked to choose a number from 1-6. They choose 4, you show the card and #4 is called "Your Choice".
Vision Version
ESP effect but with 25 different symbols instead of 5. Two spectator choose a symbol each and the mentalist reads their minds. A third spectator is asked to shuffle the deck of symbols, deal face down and stop anywhere they like. They do so and a envelope was opened correctly predicting which card would be stopped at.
Power Drain
PK effect. A working magnet is shown to work and by concentration alone, the mentalist drains it's power away.
Pscrabble
Scrabble tiles are chosen by spectators and used to spell a word. Without knowing which are chosen the mentalist can reveal the spelt out word.
The Green Book
Destiny
Deck of cards is borrowed. Spectators shuffles and cards are well mixed. Mentalist thinks of a card and removes it from the deck. Spectator thinks of a card and removes it from the deck. The deck is then cut into three piles. Mentalist card goes on top of one pile, the spectator's go on top of another pile. The identity of both cards is revealed and the deck shuffled. The deck is spread and the two cards are next to each other.
Combo
First spectator is given a pad and a pen. A second spectator is given a deck of cards. The first spectator is asked to draw a simple geometric shape and the second spectaor is asked to take a card. The mentalist reveals that he has accurately predicted the shape and card.

The Psychic Bartender
A board displaying various drinks is shown. The mentalist examines the board and ticks one of the drinks. A spectator is asked to choose a drink, they do, the board is turned around the chosen drink is the one the mentalist ticked.
Nucleus
A deck of cards is mixed on the table, a spectator freely choses one and signs it. The card is mixed in with the others. Concentrating hard, the mentalist runs his hand over the cards and lifts them up. About half the deck rises up with the hands. Suddenly the mentalist screams and the cards - except the signed one - fall to the table.
Discretion
There is a drawstring bag containing 24 chips. Each has a sign of the Zodiac on them. There are two of each chips, the spectator takes one set and the mentalist takes the other. The mentalist and spectator sit down at a table and exchange chips under the table. At one point they each bring out a chip - the spectator has the chip bearing the mentalist's star sign and the mentalist's chip has the spectator's star sign on it.
Predixion
A deck of cards, wrapped with rubber bands with a piece of paper folded and held against the deck with those bands, is given to a spectator. A second deck is given to a second spectator who is asked to deal the cards face-down onto the table, stopping whenever they feel like it. They may deal from the top, middle or bottom of the deck. When they finished, they are asked to gather up those cards and deal them into two piles. When they have finished, the top cards of each pile are turned over. They then chose one of those face up cards - no magician's choice. The mentalist then refers to the first deck, currently being looked after by the first spectator. The paper is taken out and read. It says "I have anticipated which card you will choose and marked it with an X". The deck is then spread and the chosen card has an X on it.

The Mind's Eye Deck
Mentalist displays a set of 40 or so cards, blank on on side with simple drawings on the other. The deck is shuffled. Whilst the mentalist's back is turned, the deck is cut by a spectator and the cut to card is removed. The chosen card is pocketed by the spectator and the deck is put back in it's box. With back still turned, the mentalist begins to discribe the chosen card and finally s/he draws the symbol - which is correct.

A spectator is asked to imagine a shopping trip to the supermarket. When they get home, they are told, they realise that they forgot something. The mentalist gives them a piece of paper reminding them to buy that item next time.
Shuffled Impulse
6 cards, 1 is chosen and mixed with 5 others. The mentalist manages to locate the chosen card.

Maven's variation on Corinda's "The Third Choice".
The Armchair Bowler
Spectator is asked to imagine a bowling game (10-pin not Crown Green!). The whole game is played in the imagination of the spectator but the mentalist can reveal the number of pins knocked down.
Phona
At a party you tell others that you met an old gypsy fortune-teller. One of the guests is asked to phone the old woman for an astrological reading. The mentalist never speaks to the woman or goes near the phone. Yet the woman at the other end gives the horoscope read for the spectator's correct star sign.

Resolution
Audience chooses the mentalist's New Year Resolutions. The mentalist reveals three cards with resolutions on them - the resolutions are blank at the moment - the audience call out what mentalist will resolve to do. Whatever they shout out, the mentalist reveals that he had already predicted these choices.

Mentalist predicts cards choosen by two spectators.

Dowsing for Dollars
Different coins are put in envelopes and mixed up. One of them is silver. The mentalist brings out a "dowsing device" and locates the silver coin. (Anything can be use as the device - this bit is theatrics).
Kirigami
8 letters are put on a slip of paper folded into 8 sections. The spectator rips up the sections so he has something like 8 paper scrabble tiles. 4 random letters will be selected and used to spell a word - which the mentalist devines.

Squarot
Tarot cards are dealt onto the table by a spectator. A special occult knife has a parchment wrapped around it. The parchment is removed and the knife is laid down over the cards by the spectator. The knife indicates a card - the one predicted on the parchment.

Karma
Mentalist says he recently bought a car. When it came to buy it, s/he narrows down the choices to two. Both were the same make of car but one was blue and the other was green. A spectator is asked to guess which car the mentalist bought. They do, and the mentalist removes a photo from their wallet. It is of them standing infront of their car - which is the colour the spectator predicted. The mentalist then asks the spectators to write down numbers, which are added together - amazingly, this number is discovered to be the same as the registration plate number on the car in the picture.
Indication
5 things are written on the back of a business card. A member of the audience is asked to choose one of the things. That selection is revealed to have been circled prior to the spectator making her choice.
French Active
6 cards with a different flag on each card are shown to the audience. A spectator is asked to chose a flag. They choose the French Flag and the mentalist says "I knew you'd choose the Fench flag so I wrote a letter F on the back on that card". S/He turns around the card to reveal the F. Of course this isn't that impressive, so the others are turned around to show the letters R - A - N - C - E.
Psiangle
A spectator is given a prediction to look after. A deck of cards is shuffled. Three spectators remove a card each. The first is revealed through Telepathy, the second through Clairvoyance and the third with Precognition. The deck of cards is then given away as a souvenir
Racer's Edge
The mentalist displays a list of 15 racehorses. The horses took part in a four-day event involving eight races a day. Each horse won at least one race but some won more than others. A spectator is asked to mentally select a horse. The mentalist is able to reveal the chosen horse.
